The dance of Alamat's new song 'Dayang' was choreographed by Joseph Fermin. In honor of the song's Tausug theme, the steps were inspired by Southern Philippines dances/martial arts such as Pangasik, Kuntaw, Silat, and Tariray. The dance was designed to be less hiphop (swag) and more native (elegance and energy) ...
Joseph Fermin's wife is a folk dance teacher.
